Bill Myers had this to say about a woman asking about how to sell/market T-shirts to certain groups. Bill writes
The most important thing when it comes to selling T-shirts is to first identify a niche. Generally, a group of people interested in a specific hobby, lifestyle, or product.
Create T-shirts specifically for the people in that niche. The shirts should have a slogan or image or both that people in that group want ot wear on their chests.
Make sure the niche is easy to reach online--via Facebook, Twitter, or other social media. Then create the designs they would want to spend money on.Bill is just one of the more helpful dudes on the internet. He offered this page for help in marketing T-shirts. Thank you, Mr. Myers.
On a forum, Bill Myers answered the question about printing photos on T-Shirts. He wrote
No, photos do not look good when printed on shirts. Order one from Teespring and see for yourself.
Then order a shirt from CafePress. They cost more but the print quality is far better.
Also, check out the best selling shirts at CafePress at https://www.cafepress.com/+mens-t-shirts.I will have to check that out, in other words, I'll have to purchase a shirt myself to see what it looks like. I did hear that words work a lot better than pictures but they tend to get distorted and worn over time.
You'll see that none of them have photos on them.
Logos, yes; photos, no.

Whether it be shirts, mugs, mousepads, hats, or hoodies, people far prefer text (i.e., phrases, sayings, names) over photos.
The Tom Woods Show introduced Rachel Rofe.https://tomwoods.com/bonus-ep-1644-my-new-print-on-demand-business-and-yours/. Adam Scneider. http://www.schneiderprintondemand.com. She has a webinar coming up on May 17, 2020. https://tomwoods.lpages.co/print-on-demand/. Rachel's presentation is here. I've watched half of it. I even took notes. Now I just have to find them. Yikes.
